Summer Berry Bliss – Blog Hop

Any berry is bliss, at least in my opinion.  This clear stamp release from Power Poppy is happening today and you will not want to miss out as there is some fab talent using an amazing release with yummy prizes to some lucky commenter.  Today you are getting a little look at Summer Berries.  The Power Poppy Team  and the Ellen Hutson team are getting together to inspire you.  Did you know that Ellen Hutson will carry some of the Power Poppy line of clear stamps?  Exciting News!!

This set is a little bit dear to my heart because my momma makes the best Black Berry Bliss jam, even straining all the seeds.  A total labor of love and truly pure bliss.  This stamp brings back fond memories.   Mom gives all us kids some jars of Bliss and I would hide one from the family and not use it for fear of not having any…even when I ran out.  I guess that makes me a jam hoarder.  When mom visits she will ask why I wasn’t eating the single jar of (hidden not well enough) jam and I told her its because I didn’t have a replacement.

This will be a stamp that I hoard too!  Maybe not in the back of the cupboard though.  I know you will want it too!  YUMMY!

Creating This Card

This card was simple to make and feels so crisp and clean.  The white cardstock was embossed with an embossing folder and then stamped up.  You have to press harder using a stamp press to get a crisp image but it works great and you are left with an embossed background.  After coloring up the main image I used the Basic Stitched Ovals to die cut it out.  I also stamped and colored the sentiment with a corner of the berries, then die cut the sentiment with the Notched Square die set.  Using the die Leaf Foliage 2 and white cardstock I die cut and colored the leaves in the green tones and then cut them apart.  Next came the layering of the card.

Using the embossing folder I created the bottom layer of the card.  The next layer was a fun tag from La-La Land called Large Stitched Tags and for added texture I die cut out the Garden Trellis.  I popped up the tag layer and then the main image.  After popping up the sentiment I added the colored leaves to add that special touch.  The purple ribbon brought the colors and design all together and  helped to show separation between all the white layers.  I hope you have been inspired and are looking forward to getting your new stamp set.  Don’t forget to place your order on July 1st.
