Celebrate the Moment

I don’t often send out wedding themed cards.  With that being said, when I do I want them to be unique and elegant. This sweet Bride Mona from La-La Land Crafts is the perfect image.  In the La-La Land store there is also one with a groom too.  How perfect is that?!

Creating this Card

I wanted to make it look like Bride Mona was standing under an archway, so I used the Lattice Bracket die to create it.  After cutting the center portion in half, I moved the arch closer together, with overlap.  If you place something over the cut line no-one will know.  I used the dainty Small Half Doily over my cut line.  An arch isn’t complete without something to hold it up, so I used strips from another set that I had.

Once the pieces were placed together I popped them up on a embossed white background.  Sweet Mona was fussy-cut out and popped up on the front of the card.  Using the Scalloped heart die I intertwined them and popped them up around the feature image because a wedding card definitely needed some hearts.

To finish off the card I used some of my Make It Crafty chipboard stash to bring a little of the color into the card.  (Make It Crafty closed shop, but some of the chipboard words are still available in the US through Whimsy Stamps HERE.)

  1. I really love how you made this card and your use of the dies adjusting them for what you wanted.
