Bunny Love

This sweet little pair of fluffy bunnies are enjoying a moment.

I just love the expressions on their faces as they look into each others eyes.   Something about the textures of the bunnies fur, combined with the neutral look of the card makes me happy.  The stamp is by Whimsy stamps and is called Bunny Mom and can be found in the store.

Designing this Card

I wanted to create a little scene.  Still wanting the bunnies to be the feature, I just added die cuts with black shadows.  I started this card with the fun card card base from The Stamp Doctor, Center Pop Out Card die, and then I built up from there.

Adding the new Up In The Clouds die from Whimsy Stamps in both the front of the card as well as the inside give it more dimension.  I have been a fan of this Victorian Picket Fence from Cheery Lynn Designs.   A garden is not complete without some grass and flowers so I chose to grab the flowers from the Curved Hills Kinetic die set, and grass from the No-See All Seasons Tree die set.

To achieve the furry look for this card I chose to do tiny little flicks.  This is great practice.  Similar to doing textures with tiny dots but instead they are little short flicks.  Start or with the darkest color in the darker areas and work your way to the lightest.  Each color filled in the little white space of the prior color.

A sweet sentiment was just what is needed, so I added one of my favorite sentiment from Whimsy, the Beaucoup Bouquet clear stamp set to the card.
