Pasture Birthday

For those that know me know I have a soft spot for cows.  We live on my friends ranch (in our RV) for the winter and one thing that is extra special is waking up and having coffee with the cows.  Another fun thing is being around come spring.  Yes, a baby was born yesterday and it received the name Leap.  Okay, I know none of this is stamp related other then to say…me like me cows!

When I saw this new stamp set Cow Party I moooo I couldn’t pasture it up.  It is absolutely adorable.  Just look at those faces!

Creating the Card

Another thing that I love is dot paper…so that is what I used for this one.  The black dot paper was fussy cut to fit in the balloon, but before I added it to the balloon spot I shaded the edge with the grey to give it more dimension.  After adhering it to the card I added a white highlight with the gel pen.

The card is just layer after layer of black and white.  Easy to create.  I added a favorite chipboard sentiment to the card.  Did you know Whimsy stamps carries a small selection of these chipboard sentiments?  You can find them HERE.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I love my cows and the Illustrator Crissy’s adorable images.

  1. I totally love this card. I have a brother who loves his cows that he raises in Saskatchewan. Truth be known if a calf doesn’t survive it’s birth, he is heart broken. I need to order this set as his birthday is in August. He’ll love it.
