Welcome to the Neighborhood

One of the fabulous stamp sets from the Whimsy Stamps mini release is a set by Illustrator Barbara Sproatmeyer.  I love these clear stamp sets and most stamps within each set are interchangeable making for so many different options.  Be sure and check out the whole line of Polka Dot Pals when you get some time for shopping therapy.

Creating This card:

For this card I have used the Marquee Slimline die.  I wanted to create the appearance of a road, so I die-cut it out of white cardstock and then colored it black with yellow stripes.  Using the white inner pieces from the die cut, I stamped and colored each house from Polka Dot Pal Vera stamp.

The clouds are from Up in the Clouds die set and were originally die cut in white and colored with my alcohol in markers.  In order to create the dimension for this card I adhered the clouds to the underside of the main panel and then popped the main panel up on the card front.  It was easy to slip the houses into the main pal opening and adhere flush with the cardbase.

I think this makes the perfect card to welcome a new neighbor to the area.  Of course a dozen cookies would take it to the next level.
