Here we go again with the Natures Skeleton background stamp. I might be a bit partial to it, but man it looks cool on this card don’t you think? Combined with the awesome Slimline card-base and some fun stamps makes this card a winner.
I have a soft spot for skulls (my dark side), so I couldn’t wait to use this one decorated with a black candle, along with the fun black cat silhouette. After some coloring and die cutting my pieces are ready to go. A little planning was necessary for this card.
Creating the Card:
The first thing I did was die-cut the front of the card using the Slimline Marquis die as this helped with the placement of the stamped Natures Skeleton of which I stamped in black. This layer was popped up on a black card-base so that it gave it a nice frame. Next was to take the Slimline and to die cut the images to fit the open areas of the card. I chose the left and right openings to give the appearance the object were facing each other which helps draw the eye to the center of the card. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and added bats from the Dracula Going Batty die set.
