Newtons Nook…yes please!  How cute is this little bear chomping on a watermelon?  This is just one stamp, out of the cuteness, from the set Woodland Picnic.  That sentiment stamp in this set is the best ever too!

Creating this Card:

For this card I used the Framework die set to create the popped-up frame under the bear.  Before popping it up, I colored it using the colors of a watermelon with my alcohol markers.

I created a simple background behind the bear to bring the watermelon theme full-circle.   A white piece of white cardstock was colored by simply using the different shades of gray in long strokes.  The different shades gives the appearance that the lighter ones are in the background and darker in the foreground.

The cute bear was colored, hand cut out, and then placed on the frame with the sentiment from the set.  Perfecto!  of you aren’t into hand cutting the images out you can also purchase the coordinating die set.  You can find the products in the Netwons Nook store by following the links below.
