Keep Swimming

This shark makes the perfect shaker card!  I added some fun fishies inside his mouth, and incorporated the colors of the fish in the rest of the card.  What a silly shark with his wide grin, and is just one of the three great sharks in this clear stamp set.

Creating this Card:

When creating a card, it is all about the little details that you think people might not notice individually, but as a whole make a huge statement. Every layer on the card has a little black outline that makes them stand out.  For this card I first die cut the white cardstock using the Wavy Edger die, and then ran it though my embossing machine using the new Wave Lengths embossing folder.  I repeated the cut using the Wavy Edger in black for the outline.  This layer was then popped up over some fun bright pattern paper.

I thought using the OOPS! Word and Shadow die was perfect for this shark card.  I die cut it in black for the outline, as well as the pattern paper to match the background and little fish in the sharks mouth.

If you didn’t know already, the Lookin’ Shark stamp set also has the optional outline dies, and makes cutting them out easy.  When Whimsy designed these dies they made sure there was a die to cut out the inside of the sharks mouth.  This was perfect for the little shaker window, and can filled with whatever you might want.  I used the fun little fishies from Fish Tank Sprinklets.  Did you know that Whimsy Stamps carries them in their store?  Be sure and check out everything in the latest Whimsy Stamps release HERE.
