Pig Hug! – Just4FunCrafts

Do you need a big hug? How about a “pig” hug? I thought this was the perfect theme for someone feeling a bit under the weather. I combined a few of the new products from the latest Whimsy Stamps release to create this card.

Creating this Card:

You do not always have to color in a whole image to make a statement, and I thought I would take the lazy approach with this Piggy Background image, and just color in the negative. It worked perfect.

After completing the background I added a bit of the pink Bandana paper to the upper portion, and a sentiment to separate the two backgrounds. Pretty simple so far, right?

The large sentiment was a little clever move, and al I did was take Big Hugs Large word die, and chop off the lower part of the “B” to create the “P”. The piggy comes from Polka Dot Pal Syeda clear stamp set. A little coloring and hand cutting, and then I slipped it into the “U” in the word hug.

I love using stamps and dies as they probably weren’t really intended.
