Pinecone Gift Box

Tis the giving season, right?  Chocolate, gift cards, photos, or cash.  How about presenting the gift in this cute pinecone box.  This easy-to-make, and super sweet box should work well in any die-cut machine.

Creating this Box:

For this card I die cut it in a black dot pattern paper, with the reverse being black paper with white dots.  I added some of the stripe pattern paper to the outer portion of the ATC “book” box, and decorated it using the Slimline Pines clear stamp set.  The inside portion of the box is open, and ready for the treats to be added.

Another use is to make a box with a lid out of the smaller die  in this set, (or inside the “book cover” die.  You will want to make the lid a bit looser in order to slip it over the bottom of the box”.   Just don’t adhere the little corner flaps all the way to the end, and that should work.  Fun right?

This is just a short post, as I am mid-stream for Jenn Doves Boot Camp prep.  Just popped in to say hello, and goodbye real quick.  Be back soon with more inspiration.

  1. Love, love, love it! It looks like it fits A2 size cards and their envelopes, but I’m wondering if Whimsey is going to come out with die sets to accommodate A7 as well as 5 1/2 x 5 1/2” and 6” x 6” cards and their envelopes. How deep is the box? No hurry getting back to me, as I know you’re busy. Have been wishing for dies like these for years, so they seem like an answer to my prayers. Also, what size cardstock or chipboard is recommended for this die?
