Catherine Pooler has a refresh of some of her fabulous ink colors, and you don’t want to miss out. Introducing Minted, Oh Boy!, and Sixteen Candles stamp pads. I thought I would use these three stamp pads to showcase the new Lantern Festival stamp set, and complimenting dies, that will be released in the January 12th collection. Are you excited? So excited to showcase the sneak peek!
Creating this Card:
I had fun using a bit of ink to create the colored layers, utilizing only white cardstock.
I die cut all the different layers using the Scallops and Dots die set, and a blending brush was used to add color to them. The NEW Minted, and Oh Boy! ink pads blend very nicely together to create the gradient of color. They could have been a little bit brighter, but I forgot to clean my blending brush first…note to self…clean brushes from prior project!
Using a black marker I created some of the layers, and this helped to separate them in order to stand out more. Once all the layers were created, I popped up the top layer using foam tape. The round lantern, from Lantern Festival, was stamped lightly in black. This was then die-cut out to create a vase instead of the lantern it was meant to be.
By stamping the flowers using the three new stamp pads, and a bit of green marker to traced the leaves and stems, I was able to create a bouquet. These were added to the “vase”, and popped up over the frames edge.
As you can see I finished off this card using one of the great sentiments, and popped it up off the front of the card.
