Hey Chick

Another look at Whimsy Stamps latest release. This adorable easter set is perfect for all those little Easter egg hunters in the family. It definitely gets you in the egg-hunting spirit of things. I combined them with some oldies-but-goodie dies, and my favorite accessory, Nuvo Crystal Drops. This card hollers “spring is here”. even if you don’t have any little egg-hunters in your life, it also works well for sending a little cheer.

Creating this Card:

Most everything is die cut out of white cardstock for this card. I started out with the Peekaboo Windows 3 die, and then added the “chicken wire” from the Slimline Chicken Coop die set inside the large open window. This layer was adhered to a gray piece of cardstock which helped the chicken wire to stand out. I colored 3 images from the Spring Chicks clear stamps, and hand cut them out. Each image was placed in the three small circle windows on the bottom, and then this layer was popped up off the card base. After die cutting the Big Hug sentiment out of purple and white, and then layering them together, I added the I adhered it to the chicken wire.

in order to finish off the card I wanted to add flowers, so I decided to create them using my Nuvo Drops, which also added some texture to the white of the card. I think it is a sweet card, and was a fun card to create.
