Winter Woodland

Looking for a sweet and cheery card to make?  Using one of the stamp sets from todays Whimsy Stamps release, and a few of my cool dies, I did just that.  The cuteness from the fawn, and little blackbirds says it all.  I love the look of this combination, and wanted it to look crisp, so there is limited coloring.  Check out the details below on how it was created.

Creating this Card:

I played around with the Wonky Windows 4 die a bit.  Once I die cut it using white cardstock, I added the trees from Forest Majesty to the upper two panel openings.  The top panel, and middle panel were colored to look like clouds, and then the top portion was adhered behind the tree.  Once that was done, I popped the frame up off the card base using foam tape.  The middle colored panel was adhered directly to the card base, and the bottom panel (that was left white), was then popped up in the bottom opening.  This gave me the structure of the card.

I added the sentiment “believes” using the Believe word and shadow die, using both the black and white cardstock.  I realized it was a little dark for this card with out a complimenting black image to balance it, so I colored the little birds to be blackbirds.  Once I colored and hand cut the feature image, I placed it over the middle section using foam tape.

You must check out all the cute characters in this set, as each one is absolutely adorable.
