When you envision someone popping out of a cake, I bet you don’t envision this lady. A fun interactive card using some of the latest Whimsy Stamps products. I had a lot of fun creating this card, and with a little tweaking of the stamp set, I was able to make it work. A great birthday card for a friend.

As you might already know, I love to color up my die-cuts. Here is what the progress looks like. I die-cut the cupcake parts, and colored them up with my OLO markers.
After everything was colored I got an A2 piece of white cardstock and added the Kinetic pieces. For this card I used the shortest “opening” piece from Kinetic straight basics, and the circles and pull portions from the No-See Kinetic Basics.
Just so you know…I cut off her arms and adhered them back on so they wouldn’t show outside the cupcake.
All the moving parts are hidden under the stamped lower portion of the Lots of Dots popped up panel. The upper panel is adhered straight down to the cardstock as shown below. By the way, I used the Wonky Window 4 die to make the upper and lower panel for the card.
I adhered the cupcake to the front lower panel using pop up foam tape. This way it doesnt get in the way of the sliding. After I confirmed she happily slid up and down (mostly hidden), I added some of the hearts on the cupcake to conceal any overhang parts from the lady behind the cupcake.
The YAY! die was added, and I found the “OH MY” from the OMG! die set. The last thing was to choose one of the quirky sentiment from the stamp set.
