When a quick card is all you need, a simple layout is key. I grabbed some La-La Land Crafts stash, and whipped up this sweet card. I kinda have a thing for owls, and this set is just adorable. I thought I would create a spring-feeling card, with a little pinwheel that spins.

Creating This Card:

I grabbed a fun background stamp (this one is discontinued unfortunately), and inked up only PART of the stamp. If you apply heavier pressure to the stamp pad in the center, and lighter on the edges. You can also dab off the edges if the inked stamp with paper towel to soften the look when stamped…this helps with the fading of the edges of the inked background.

I die cut the Flower Wreath die cut, and then colored it up with my OLO markers. This portion was popped up off the background. The sentiment strip was slipped under the die cut piece.

I die cut, colored and assembled the Pinwheel using a brad for the center so it can still spin. After coloring the owl from Owl See You clear stamp set, I hand cut it out. The owl was slipped under the wreath, and the pinwheel adhered to its wing. Sweet and simple.
