Yay! Cocktails!

YAY! for cocktails, and YAY! for the NEW release at Whimsy Stamps! What a perfect card for a winters day. Despite the hurricanes in Florida, nothing will stop Whimsy Stamps with getting the shipments out to you. Be patient as the postal service is understandably a tad slow. With all the destruction left in the hurricanes path it is even more important to find something you love from the release in support of this small business….see how I am encouraging you to buy, buy, buy! Making this card was super fun, and I even created my own pattern paper too. A combo of some fabulous dies and stamps were used for this fun festive card, Check out the details below.

I love how you can stamp an image in color to create a pattern paper. For this card I took it a step further. First I stamped the Tartan Plaid rubber stamp with my Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus stamp pad onto white paper. I took my lightest colored marker and colored over the stamped pattern creating green pattern paper.

I die cut the Wonky Windows 1 out of white paper and colored it to match the green colors. Then I die cut the center of the pattern paper out using the Notched Rectangle die, and layered it over the Wonky Windows colored die cut.

Once that was done I popped up the frame, and wonky window piece on the card base. The stitched pieces from the Wonky Window was slipped underneath the frame. I colored up the YAY!, and image and added it to the card. The last thing was to add in the fun sentiment from the Cocktails stamp set.
