How cool is it to have a new release mid month? I am so glad I didn’t have to wait until April to show off this release. The Lattice A2 die is just that…to die for! This release is full of flowers and butterflies and everything spring. I know I am ready for Spring! Can you believe it…a card without markers…
Creating this Card
Deciding to keep it mainly a white card, I chose a second color because it needed something to accent and separate the layers. I heat embossed the detailed Sunflower Background stamp with the Hot Chocolate embossing powder. After die cutting the Lattice A2 layer I used a circle die to cut out an opening. Did you know you can use the Shaker Maker Combo die to create fabulous frames? If you want to figure out how it will look in the frame you can simple do a “dry run” with no adhesive. Adhere the sunflower to the card base in the location that peeks through the opening. Once the top lattice layer and frame were adhered together the ribbon was threaded in the lattice openings. You can pop this layer up to create dimension.
You should try these Whimsy Stamps sentiment dies because they have very cool layers. The “Sweet” sentiment was die cut out, layered and placed over the frame. The Pumpkin patch dies had the perfect leaves for this card so I die cut a few out and clustered them because it needed that addition to balance out the sentiment.
