Its release week over at Whimsy Stamps, and I have been busy creating cards for an upcoming class, as well as creating with images we colored at my fall event this year. I thought I would combine a couple delicious stamps to create this card. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Creating this Card:
If you weren’t thinking about getting this Slimline Meadows die, you might want to reconsider. You have to check this out. I discovered that the inner-piece that is apart of the Slimline Meadows can be used to create a frame combined with other dies I own. As shown in the photo above you can see I placed the slimline inner-piece inside of the Wonky Stitched die and taped them together to create the frame. You can do this with so many more of the Whimsy rectangle dies too. I die cut mine with the ruffly part on the bottom to look like water ripples or bushes, or you can place the ruffly part towards the top to represent trees. So cool!!
I colored the Forest Stream image first and then die cut it out. Once it was die cut and placed on the card front, I hand cut the owl image I already had colored, and placed him on a branch (that is the trunk that comes with the Slimline die).
A simple chipboard sentiment was added to complete the card.
This card made me so happy I actually did a second similar one, created for an upcoming class.
