It is release day at Whimsy Stamps and you will want to take a peak HERE. I just loved the So Weird stamp set, that I created a couple cards to show you this week. The play on words made me pull out the Frosty Mug die, as it went so well with the sentiment. A little masking will be required, but it is easy as the images are silhouettes. Check out the card details below.
Creating this Card:
First I die cut the mug piecers and frosty stuff on top. I colored it with my OLO Marker yellows, keeping it pretty simple.. I also colored a couple 4.25″ strips to accent the panels. Next I stamped the Lots of Dots rubber stamp (a current favorite), onto white cardstock for the top and bottom panels. The sentiment from the Got Beer clear stamps was a perfect addition for this card. The funny, quirky animals were then stamped. All you need to do is stamp the pig in block ink, mask him off, then stamp the two crows.
If you are new to masking…stamp the pig on a sticky note pad…cut him out, then place that over your main image, and stamp the crows. This keeps you from stamping the second image (crows) on the piggy.
I assembled by putting yellow strips under the dots panels. The lower one is popped up and the upper one is adhered to the card base. The mug was adhered to the lower panel, with pop up foam under the top of it. The sentiment was popped up once slid undertone lower panel and mug. Then I popped up the crazy animals under the mug. I finished off the card by adding a few sequins from This Calls For Confetti. Be sure and grab a bunch of different colors when shopping This Calls For Confetti, so you can have them on hand when you need them.
