Boing, Boing!

It is time for a sweet Easter card.  I thought I would grab the latest Whimsy Stamps release and get to work on it, (not that it is work).  Keeping the colors bright and cheery, and adding some fun dies, this card came to fruition.  If you haven’t checked out the latest release, and grabbed some new stuff to play with, you better get hoppin’!  Boing, Boing, Boing!

Creating This Card:

I used the Zig Zag rectangle, and the Inverted Scallop die to create the frame.  The Inverted Scallop die set also has the cute scallops, so added colored the scallops, and adhered it to the inner portion of the frame.  After coloring the edge of the card in the matching orange, I popped the layers up over a texture (embossed) panel.  Next I colored the image, and hand cut it out (as I didnt have the dies).  I die cut the fence and popped it off the frame.  The image was added to a curved textured base, and added to the fence layer.

I thought the boing boing fit the card nicely, and colored it up in colored that matched the image.  The card was finished off with the Hoppy Easter sentiment from the set.

  1. You can make the simplest dies SO adorable! The bunny stamp and die will be on my next Whimsy order. And, yes, I took a screenshot so I can refer back to your card for reference.
